Patterson Lakes has plenty of waterfront homes and townhouses with plush polyester or nylon carpet, plus older wool blends in established homes. Each fibre needs a different approach, so we check what yours is before we start.
Wool and wool blends
Gentler treatment to protect the fibre and colour.
Nylon
Hard-wearing and responds well to hot water extraction.
Polyester
Soft and common in newer homes, but holds oily soiling in walkways.
Polypropylene
Common in rentals and newer homes. Resists most stains, but attracts oily soiling, so walkways turn grey.

Do you clean holiday rentals between guests?
Yes. Let us know the changeover window when you book and we’ll fit the clean in so the carpet has time to dry before the next guests arrive.
What happens if it rains on the day of the clean?
We can still clean. The truck-mounted unit runs from outside and the hoses come in through the door. Drying can take a little longer on wet days, so we’ll give you a realistic time on the day.
Does damp coastal air slow down drying?
It can, a little. Opening windows on a dry day, or running the air conditioning or a fan, helps the carpet dry faster.
