Devon Meadows has plenty of acreage homes where red clay, mud and working dogs all leave their mark, alongside newer builds with polyester and nylon carpet. Each fibre needs a different approach, so we check what yours is before we start.
Wool and wool blends
Gentler treatment to protect the fibre and colour.
Nylon
Hard-wearing and responds well to hot water extraction.
Polyester
Soft and common in newer homes, but holds oily soiling in walkways.
Polypropylene
Common in rentals and newer homes. Resists most stains, but attracts oily soiling, so walkways turn grey.

Can you get red clay and mud out of carpet?
Most of it, yes. Clay needs to dry first, then be pre-treated before the hot water rinse. Clay that has stained the fibre for a long time may lighten rather than fully disappear.
Can you reach houses with a long driveway?
Usually, yes. The truck parks as close to the house as it can and the hoses run inside. Let us know about long or steep driveways when you book.
Can you clean a granny flat or studio on the same property?
Yes. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote and we’ll include it in the same visit.
